Like I said in your post and in your plurk the other day, Erika thinks Jay is cute and fun to play with! Erika is immensely self-centered, but also really demonstrative, and she needs people to watch and appreciate her and to play off of. So he gets points for appreciating her, and he's also smart enough to banter with her a bit, but apparently not smart enough to pick up when she's being kind of malicious or uncaring, which is a lot of fun for her. '-' The way he seems to think he's on a level with her is very cute to her, because of course in her mind he's very much not and she could humiliate him at any turn if she wanted to. BUT she has no desire to at the moment because she's very positive on him!
I said she doesn't really feel affection, but that's not strictly accurate; she can, but she's decided she's a person who gets her sole pleasure out of being smarter than other people and humiliating them! And doesn't remember much other than that. And she does get pleasure out of that, so it's not inaccurate, and she basically has no desire to be a person who honestly cares about people.
So yes. This is going to go well.
