How does Erika feel about Legacy Hero status so far?

(This is Lambda too lazy to change accounts, hello!)

It's still new enough that it doesn't bother her much! She still has people to annoy and deal with so she's not too bored yet. The top of her list of things that are weird about it are that she's not... really invested in Jasper's success in games anymore. SHE STILL IS A BIT in the sense that they are her team and they shouldn't embarrass her by proxy, which was a problem for games she didn't attend already. But she doesn't feel the need to be really controlling about it and chastise them for losing or try to tell them what to do to do better in the same way she did before. It's strange to sort of detachedly wonder how they're going to make decisions on things without her there.

And of course it's strange to suddenly be missing that MUST WIN ALL THE GAMES MUST BE THE BEST motivation in general, but with all her memories back that was already sort of tempered a liiiitle. Not that she's not still fiercely competitive, but. She's better at existing moderately calmly without a game of some kind actively going on.

What are your current Legacy plans for Lambda?

THAT'S... A GOOD QUESTION! All things told it will probably be soon, but I'm still a little hesitant about Legacying her because Lambda and I both love playing games with Kunzite too much... but I also think a lot of her development from memories and games is over and I want to make room for new blood on the team. I still want to get in a few more games with her at least, so I think the earliest I'd Legacy her would be after Christmas—while the longest I might want to hold out is until Rena gets placed so I can still have two game-playing characters, but we'll see.

How is Erika feeling about Swift being back?

I was going to ask about character ooc goals but since Erika has Legacied and Raven's dropping... uh.

Do you have a mental storyline on what Raven's going to be doing while on temp drop? Questing for things, having sexy times with Beatrice... etc etc.

I made a plurk about it, but basically she is... conflicted. SHE STILL REALLY LIKES SWIFT AND IS HAPPY HE'S BACK. And has obviously after getting a lot more memories and stuff she has eased off a little on some of the things they argued over like Erika being completely infallibly correct in everything, and people always betraying you and friendship being pointless and stuff like that.

But also obviously she's not going to go up to him and be like "I'm sorry Swift I was wrong, let's be friends." There is no part of that that she would do. Also the only thing that's stopping her from hurting the team and other people he cares about in games to win is the fact that she's not in games anymore, so he would be perfectly justified in laughing in her face if she did that anyway.

SO SHE'S TRYING TO BALANCE... THAT. And isn't really sure what to do with it to be honest. It is basically a really concrete instance of her overall personal conflict at this point. :|a

Tell me what Rena is like!!

Erika likes Togami quite a lot. . .

I said it when he first introed but it's very comforting how not interested he is in being nice or making people like him. HONESTY. CLEARLY. She thinks he's a bit more arrogant than he's actually displayed skills to justify, but she much prefers that in her person over being humble or insecure. And when he's challenged on something or forced to discuss it concretely he will still grant when she has points or look at things in a different way, so she doesn't feel like he's... blinding himself with his arrogance or being condescending to her (which would clearly not be justified!!).

She is vaguely disappointed she didn't get a chance to play with him in heavy games because she was looking forward to that either going really well or spectacularly badly...

REVERSE!

Seth gave me a general description of what they'll be doing in Firebird's realm! Raven has a connection with Firebird because of a quest he did a while back to power his heart (so it no longer drains his life energy). He'll be using that to tell where Firebird's realm is in particular disrepair (because of her having to spend so much energy surviving the cold) and he and Beatrice will do stuff to patch up the magic. Minigames and puzzles and battles and stuff. And just generally traveling around and doing things yes!

How is Aladdin settling it?

AT A CASUAL GLANCE, Rena is a ditzy, adorable moeblob. She's a sweet and kind girl, but also a little shy, easily flustered, and eccentric—she's also obsessed with cute things and when she sees something she thinks is cute she starts fussing about how she's going to take it home!

There is a lot more to her than meets the eye, though. She's actually very mature, levelheaded, and perceptive, both emotionally (she's very good at seeing through lies and seeing through to people's true intentions) and intellectually (at one point she solves nearly the entire mystery of the arc just by observing a missing bottle of soy sauce). She also has a serious streak of ruthlessness, as past traumatic experiences have caused her to develop the philosophy that people need to take whatever steps they must to protect their own happiness, even if that means hurting other people. "If were only allowed to do nice things, people who aren't happy wouldn't be able to seize happiness at all," says Rena.

Now tell me about Milla!

Aladdin is doing well! Sapphire feeds him and asides from the incident with Murasakibara, he finds them all kind and interesting. He already has two memories, one he still has to take. The one thing that bugs him is that both his first memory and what Sinbad has told him that he's this all powerful being and he's just "... what?" about it. Which is mostly canon but we'll see.

I am slowly getting the hang of working with a team and it's been pretty fun so far!

How is Kotetsu dealing with the confirmation of power loss?

Milla is so great. She's Milla Maxwell, the Lord of Spirits, who has taken a human body for a number of reasons. In particular she is on a mission to protect the world by destroying technology that kills spirits and threatens the balance of the world. And by destroying people who oppose her in this task as necessary. She's pretty much willing to do whatever is necessary! Xillia is pretty much the story of a whole bunch of humans getting caught up in her mission and swept along/inspired by her force of will. She basically never doubts herself or wavers in her resolve, and while there are some spoilers that means she has to reconsider some things, that always remains pretty much true. Meanwhile, she gets to know humans, since she's really very inhuman herself! But not in a naive robot sort of way, more in an interestingly alien way. Her body is a tool, she has no real concept of human relationships or emotional decision-making, etc. She's read a lot of books, though! Including books on sex and bondage apparently. . .

Also tell me about Ami.

HE LIKES... HER? He doesn't really like people so much as not dislike people. Since most people are people he dislikes. And in addition to that he figures she actually is intelligent and thoughtful like she claims, so she's useful AND not annoying, so that's about as close to like as anyone's gonna get!! And in Aather at least definitely she is the one he likes the most.

He's slightly uncomfy with what a dominant personality she is because he is also a dominant personality and he doesn't like feeling subordinate to anyone. So he tries to assert himself as at least an equal, and I don't think she's been like YOU ARE BENEATH ME, but he gets the sense she thinks it anyway so that part eats at him sometimes :'| He's definitely aware of how disadvantaged he is being fresh to Aather, and he totally believes he's awesome, but it aggravates him thinking about how everyone else probably doesn't believe he's awesome quite as much, and he doesn't have any details to prove them wrong, hiss

HOW IS ERIKA DOING IN COURT SO FAR I'm really bad at stalking people there so I haven't seen.

HE ISSSS mostly ignoring it and hoping it goes away at the moment. Or turns out to be a misunderstanding. Not to say that he isn't taking it seriously! He has observed to himself that maybe this is the reason his power is only one minute in Aather, and he acknowledges that he seemed fairly certain and serious about it in his memory. But at the same time it is only one memory and he's not really sure what... he can do about it. Or what he did about it. He didn't talk about it or do anything about it other than keep track of it in canon for similar reasons! And of course he's not talking to Barnaby about it because he doesn't want to worry him when there's not anything to be done at this point. So he's just trying to act normal and distract himself and not think about it too much.

How is Barnaby doing in general!

SHE STILL HASN'T DONE MUCH OF INTEREST TBH mostly harassing Gilgameshes. Harassing Gilgameshes is something she enjoys a lot though so she's doing alright. I AM ENJOYING HER THREAD WITH PROTO GIL which is here if you're particularly interested. She tangentially talks about how Beatrice killed her much more spectacularly than Gilgamesh could...

Dreams you have for Togami in Court?

He's... okay. Barnaby's been sort of upset over a Serah leaving, but is trying his best to continue doing his thing. He just... he doesn't make friends very easily, or at least, there are always masks and layers and fake friendliness to some degree. But he had at least, warmed up to Serah to the point where he was able to confide in her over actually feelings and concerns and now she's gone and he doesn't really know what to feel about that. He'll probably poke and pester Kotetsu because it's familiar and comforting to him to do so, and just focus on planning the party. And probably try and figure out new goals for himself. Oh, and learn more about Amethyst members.

Who are you apping next to Aather (is it Milla?) and what are your plans with her?

Ami is a selfish, spoiled, bratty, devious girl with a mean streak and a bad temper—but initially she hides her true personality under a mask of being a sweet, modest, hard-working girl because she believes that everyone will hate her if she acts true to herself, and despite her bad attitude, deep down she's actually very sensitive to the opinions of others. As her series continues and she makes friends with people who are aware of her true self, though, she learns to be more true to her self, while also mellowing out a little and genuinely becoming a better person. For a large part of the series, she takes on the role of trying to nudge the other characters along through their mess of a love polygon—often not taking care to mince her words or be patient with them—though she has plenty of issues she struggles on her own. Although she may generally act arrogant and like she's above a lot of things, in truth she's pretty much just a vulnerable teenage girl, who wants nothing more than for her feelings to be noticed and to be understood.

Any team thoughts for Milla?

It is Milla!! I am super excited. Partly I am just excited to have a new character and a new team because it's been a really long time. I DON'T HAVE ANY CONCRETE PLANS but she will be interesting in Aather because she's a very... stable character. I don't expect the amnesia to change her much or for her to get ruffled by much! She'll be fun to play though because she's also very inhuman in fun and interesting ways, and not very used to... being tied down to a team. I look forward to seeing how it goes.

Would you ever app a persona?

I am not sure! I was trying to decide what team she would be best on the other night. I think she would work well on most teams really. The only pitfalls she'd run into would be if she ended up clashing really badly with other strong personalities, because she wouldn't ever back down, or if she got really dismissive of her team and just ended up doing everything on her own. So she'd need a balance. She'd also be a little awkward with cuddlier teams but she'd live with that. I think the ones that feel best to me atm would be Ruby or Citrine...? But she'd also probably do okay on like... Carnelian or Heliodor... or Coral or Emerald... or yeah idk most teams. I'm leaving my preferences completely open!

KUNZITE GOES ON A ROAD TRIP TOGETHER how does it go.

UM I mostly apped him to Court specifically so I could be shameless tbh... He is the kind of character where I can abuse the objectives to the fullest extent, because where everyone else I play has moral/personal standards of some variety, Togami's #1 priority is pretty much just being the winningest winner, so he would ever-so-grudgingly give most things a try if given the right incentive. So I can give him objectives to be nice to people (ALSO HELPFUL FOR HAVING CR EVER) and have sex and stuff so it is the maximum of Court brainwashing and he will struggle with it but also be the most likely to do things anyway. I WANTED A CHARACTER THAT I COULD EXPLORE THAT ASPECT WITH!!! Also I just like Togami. And also need to touch Kirigiri because it would be interesting to have them working together directly instead of both working through Naegi...

That was more "plans" and less "dreams" so I guess dreams is just taking all those things to the conclusion of Togami doing favors for everyone and sleeping around and occasionally complaining to Kirigiri that death matches are much more preferable than this bullshit. And maybe brainwashing will stockholm into being a more open and generous person, who knows.

WHAT IS SOMETHING YOU WANT TO DO WITH EACH OF YOUR CHARACTERS THAT YOU HAVE NOT MANAGED TO DO YET!! (you can include Milla too but assume I know nothing of Xillia which is true, and also obviously you would not have managed to do anything with her yet)
